- 1 lb ground breakfast sausage, hot or mild
- 1/3 cup all-purpose flour
- 3-4 cups whole milk
- 1 tsp fine ground black pepper
- Biscuits (Pillsbury are fine)
1) Brown the sausage in a pan over medium heat (I use "4" on my stove), breaking the meat up.
2) Add the flour bit by bit, allowing the sausage fat to absorb the flour. Cook for 1 minute, then add 3 cups of milk.
3) Cook gravy until thick, ~10 minutes. Add salt and pepper. You can add milk if it gets too thick.
4) Serve over biscuits!
